After the delivery of ‘ CAYOLA ‘ in March 2013, PIRIOU has just delivered a second 22 m trawler to ACAV, Armement Coopératif Artisanal Vendéen, in association with Mr Romain Picaud for this vessel. 


Artisanal fishing boat of the future, ‘MABON III’, a ‘CAYOLA’ sistership, is the fruit of a close collaboration between the Armement Coopératif Vendéen, the naval architect’s office Bureau Mauric and PIRIOU, as an answer to the challenging replacement of the French fishing fleet: a vessel with controlled operating costs, carefully calculated buildings costs and increased comfort and safety.  

As a proof of renewed confidence from ACAV in PIRIOU, ‘MABON III’ is the eleventh vessel built for the Vendée area ship-owner and adds to the list of the 165 trawlers already delivered since 1972 by the shipyard.
